Alvi Slocumb is an illustrator and storyteller born and raised in sunny central Florida, who’s now found a nook in chilly Portland, Maine to call home. This past spring, they graduated from Maine College of Art & Design with their BFA in Illustration.

Throughout their childhood, Alvi was enamored by stories of heroism, family, and adventure. Now, they enjoy expanding their practice by pursuing whimsical and enchanting stories! From comics, to children’s books, to editorial and character design, Alvi is always on the lookout for their next journey.

They also keep a healthy sketchbook practice, where they allow new ideas to take root and old skills to grow!
